Beat the heat of one Saturday Morning with these ladies! Even though we haven't had enough time to shoot and walk around Manila, there's always a next time.

Look who went for a book haul this Monday dawn! Big Bad Wolf just landed for the first time in the Philippines.

A little bit about Big Bad Wolf's book fair, which set off in 2009 in Malaysia. The Wolf started selling books of different genres, that grew bigger and "badder" in the following years, and now they're travelling worldwide to provide all the lovely readers with massive book choices and sales. Another exciting thing about this book fair is that it's 24/7 open time!

Now that they've arrived in the Philippines with great joy and awesomeness, offering 2 million books to the ever enthusiastic readers here. Surely, you'll find all your heart's desires books to hoard. The Wolf will be open until February 25, 2018, 24/7 so there's more time for you to check it out!

Well, as my first entry for this year and after the longest time, I'll just be sharing some of my picks for this year's Big Bad Wolf Book Fair.


Here's a glimpse of my little cart. It's considered few books for the staff at Big Bad Wolf since some of the people there were pushing 2-3 carts per person!



There's a lot of books for kids! But the downside of this book fair is no available local books. And I was looking for Korean Language books and Calligraphy books but unfortunately, I wasn't able to scout for one. It might be out of stock during that time since they're not putting all the books on display. Each day, new stocks or even new books are stack for new comers to see!


And hooray! There's a section where all unwanted books goes; not just for the people to leave the books they picked but decided not to buy, but to also avoid unnecessary clutter of books everywhere because all the genres are stacked in specific sections.

Themed cafes and restaurant has been a hit these past few years and I've been happy to come across with a theme cafe inside a mall! Well, I'm pretty hyped up with it being in a mall since most of the time, these cafes or restaurants are located outside establishments (or so I thought) but, it felt so near! And I think I finally found my new to-go place besides the mainstream coffee shops. 

Buku Buku Kafe is book-themed cafe with a homey vibe, and definitely instagram-worthy. When I googled the meaning of Buku, I found out that its a Vietnamese word meaning, "a lot of" and another meaning is from Indonesian which means "books". Besides books and coffee, the cafe also offers a full dining experience that really made my bestfriend and I think that we would come back to this place.

Besides a place for individuals to read books and dine-in. This cafe welcomes indie singers where they can play cover songs and even their originals, such a creative place to be! And if you're not anywhere near the South, its worth the travel!

Last Sunday, April 12, I went to my friend and her partner's first ever basic calligraphy workshop. If you scrolled in my previous entries, I've been to pointed nib calligraphy for the past few months and I'm growing in love with it each day. So I was so excited for my friends that they managed to plan a workshop and it was nothing but successful! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to sign up for their workshop because I am nothing but broke at the moment. I just went there to support them and took some pictures as well.  Here are some of the photos I took during their the workshop! :)





If anyone of you is interested to sign up for their workshops, you will be so happy with the kits and the gorgeous venue. There workshops are specifically for those people from the south who wants to learn pointed nib calligraphy so hello south people!



The workshop fee is only around P1,500 which includes pointed nibs, inks, holders and a complete module that will guide you throughout learning the basics of calligraphy.



Since it is their first workshop, as a debut, @calligrapads, @nib_junkie, @thecraftcentral, some of the online shops where you can get the best tools for your calligraphy needs, provided some of the freebies and prizes for the contest.
